The Company aims at mobilizing financial resources to be invested in projects that meet a number of basic criteria, including transfer of know-how and provision of expertise in new technologies. The Company strives to optimize the use of comparative advantages in some European countries through the creation of local integrated industries that can compete in both regional and international markets. Here At Capital Funds we give priority to joint ventures that support European economic cooperation and integration. Capital Funds is always keen on diversifying its investment portfolio on sectoral and geographical bases in order to minimize risks, secure a rewarding and stable return on investments and making it possible for all member countries to benefit from its resources. As such, the Company is constantly striving to cooperate and coordinate with European financial institutions,  joint stock companies, investment guarantee and export promoting institutions, European chambers of commerce and industry and investment promoting agencies in European countries. In this respect, the Company is continuously identifying and developing available investment opportunities and participating in the promotion and investment in viable projects.

Our investment portfolio includes 36 projects and holding companies located in 13 European Countries. The portfolio consisted of 15 production projects and 21 service projects. Production projects covered various sectors, namely pharmaceuticals, construction, steel, paper, agriculture, food, energy and petrochemicals. The service projects, on the other hand, included banks, non-banking financial institutions, tourism, real estate, telecommunications and health services.  The total paid-up capital of these projects and holding companies amounted to GBP 7.6 billion and shareholders’ equity exceeded GBP 11.9 billion. Our total equity participation in these projects and holding companies was GBP 350 million, representing 50% of its paid-up capital. These figures demonstrate Our role as a catalyst in developing and implementing investment projects in the European countries.
